When everyone on their way inside the gurdwara, the bride and groom sit on the floor next to each other in front of Guru Granth Sahib.

Ragis or Sikh musicians begin to read and sing each verse of laavan (marriage prayer). the couple goes around Guru Granth Sahib four times. That means the importance of a Guru-centered life.
